Hi guys I need help with buying a camera. I know nothing about cameras, I want to know what type of camera would be right for me. I don't want the normal digital cameras, I want one to be pretty advance since I looking to take a course on photography. I would mostly be using it for taking outdoor photos not personal ones.
Can anyone please tell me what I should look for in a camera and how to spot a good one and also the difference between DSLR and SLR.
Thanks

A DSLR is digital single lens reflex, now a days they are all these not a slr. You should really go on to special websites for these sorts of things because different people want different things. It used to be about how many megapixels which means how big you can make the picture without getting it blurry, but with dslrs these days they all seem to have 8mp at the least which is pretty good. The main thing now a days is the iso whuch is how you can make the pictures lighting but you shouldnt be fooled many companys just provide you with 3200 iso eaning you would thing that you could take quite good lighting pictures but sometimes the iso is terrible and can ruin a picture. It doesnt really matter what type of dslr u go for like a nikon or canon you should make that desicion by going to a shop wear you can hold the cameras and see how you handle with them. Once youve decided which camera you want you have to get into lenses, you can get dslrs with lenses but there just basic you can get a huge range with the companys now a days it depends how much you are willing to spend i recommend looking on a few websies picking out a few cameras which you like with the chosen aspects you like so mega pixels, iso, live view, which lets you take the picture by looking through the screen instead of the view finder, etc, and then go to some electronic shops there bound to let you handle the cameras and see which one suits you best here are a few websites to help you out:

DSLR - A digital single-lens reflex camera (digital SLR or DSLR) is a digital camera that uses a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera.
