I'm trying to go pro. But, I want to make sure my first d-SLR camera is the best. I have four options in budget range (under 900) I can handle any settings thrown at me but I want to make sure it is the best of what I can afford. If you know of a better one (preferably bundle) that is under 900 let me know. Otherwise< which of these has the best image quality, fastest shooting speed, fastest startup delay, fastest shot-to-shot delay, and fastest shutter lag. I don't care if it's easy to use or hard I'm smart and tech-savvy and also mechanically inclined. So just help me know the best one available.

Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera 2 Lens Bundle
Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR Camera 2 Lens Bundle (Cnet says it's a bit slow?)

Right DSLR Camera for me?

Well, College is next fall, and I want to major in Film to work with Tv networks and on upcoming movies, etc. There are scholarships out there that require me to show pieces of work. Some of my courses in college will require some photography since it's a natural part of film. So why not get a decent camera that can do both pretty good? I'm looking for a DSLR camera that can suit my needs to build a work portfolio that a few colleges will ask for upon applying to their film departments. Any ideas, I'm looking at a Canon t3i 18MP camera that does around 3.7Fps, or I can maybe get a Nikon D5200 with 24.1MP and about 5fps. What would be a good choice or are there any others? The Rebel T3i comes in a bundle with a case, SD card, extra pair of lens for about the same price of the D5200 camera only. About: $800 with tax included.

There is approximately $200 difference in the price of both the cameras, if you purchase without a bundle and obviously there is a difference in the specs of both the cameras too. Both the cameras are pretty good and have reliable performance.
Canon T3i is best among Canon rebels and i personally admire it as well. If you want bundle in the same price, you must go without hesitation because T3i is worth spending camera.
If you are choosing between T3i and D5200, i recommend D5200 only due to its upgraded features, consider the fact its higher price as compared to T3i.
