canon camera lens 18-300mm image

I'm planning to buy a basic lens for a beginners DSLR and I'm new to the world of DSLR cameras and have a thirst to learn more about photography. I do want a fair amount of zoom but I don't really need my current 30X optical zoom in my bridge camera. I'm now planning to do a little more and wonder if 70-300mm is good enough for a beginner like me?

When coupled with your 18-55mm lens (assuming you bought an entry level DSLR) the two lenses combined would give you coverage from 18-300mm, which is a 17x equivalent in zoom power.
Or if you added a 10-24mm super-wide angle lens to your 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens, now between the three lenses, you will have a 30x equivalent.
However, the x power is just a ratio, and has nothing to do with the total reach on the telephoto end.
To figure that out, you have to find out what the 35mm equivalent focal length is for each camera.
To find out, multiply the bridge camera's true focal length by 5.6 (which is it's crop factor) to get the 35mm equivalent focal length.
Then, multiply the 70-300mm by 1.5x (if Nikon) or 1.6x (if Canon) to get the 35mm equivalent.
Once you know the 35mm equivalent focal length of each lens, then you can compare them to find out which is longer.

from past one year im saving money for planning to buy a DSLR camera.
Can u help me out to buy a nice DSLR??
Budget: 600$ to 900$ (upto 1000$. not more than that)
im purely a starter.... and I have keen interested on photography...
1). i dont have any idea which company i have to buy ???
2). Which model will come under 1000$ ?? Complete set like body, lens

(but what is the difference between these two lens )
3). Which SD card i should i take ??
(As a part i did some research of myself. And felt Canon 650D is the best of mine. with 18-135 mm STM lens. What do u say ?)

canon 650d is a good option but i would go for nikon d5200 it is newer and has better image quality and low light performance it has also many good features you can check d5200 and as for lens the difference your 18-300mm will be larger and heavier and not as sharp as 18-55 and 55-270 so would be recommend you to go for 18-55 and 55-270 you can buy any sd card the better the sd card the better will be the processing of your images so go for class 10 or class 1 sd cards though they are expensive!!
