I have my eye on a dslr camera I want to get but really don't yet understand the specs.
The camera I am buying has the following: EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens.
Can anyone also tell me how MM's in a camera work. People always talk about the MM's in their cameras and it bugs me not understanding it.

mm (millimeter) denotes the focal length of the lens, which determines how close things appear to be to the camera. The smaller the number, the more of the picture you see - wide angle lenses show "more stuff". Big numbers are telephoto - they show things as if they were close up. A single number (18mm) denotes a fixed focal length. Two numbers (18-55mm) means it is a zoom lens that can adjust between those two numbers. The 18-55mm would be a wide-to-normal angle short zoom. You'll also want to look into the f #'s - that tells you how much light can get into the lens at a given focal length, which is important for shooting in certain conditions (low light, capturing high speed motion, etc).Here is a web site that explains what all of this lens stuff is, and how the various numbers "work together", so to speak: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/camera-lenses.htm.
Now, digital lenses have differences in their focal length equivalencies. This is because of differences in sensor sizes. For example, my Oly has a 4/3 sensor, which works out to 1/2 of a 35mm film frame. Because of that, my 300mm lens has the equivalent "reach" of a 600mm. DIY Fisheye lens on Instant Camera?

Does anyone know how or can link me so that I can make a DIY fisheye lens for my instant Kodak camera.
I've seen tutorials but only for DSLR or Point and shoot. With those you can adjust the focus and what not.
Im talking about one of those 5$ instant cameras you find at Walmart or where ever. The one time use cameras.

You need a particular kind of lens to get the fisheye effect...tricky to do, especially with a camera where you're not going to see the result for a day (or even a week) after you've finished the entire film in the camera and the prints come back from the processors. You might stand a chance with a digital camera and its instant feedback.
You could buy one of these magnetic fisheye adapters. Hold the adapter in place or use one of the metal stick on rings. You can use the adapter on other cameras, too.
