I want to buy a compact lens camera, good detail within shots etc. But dont want it to cost an absouloute bomb! I've looked at the 1 series by nikon, but they just don't seem to have good enough detail within the photos. The leica M series has the quality, just to expensive. Obviously you get what you pay for but whats the best bang for buck on the market at the moment? It can be as basic as anything, just with a lcd display.
Answer
Considering the Leica M series digital camera to be a compact camera is quite funny actually.
The Leica M is nothing like a compact digital camera, but I think if you just take the time to look at the specifications of the Leica and any compact digital camera , you will see the differences.
Right now the I think what you are calling "compact digital camera with interchangeable lenses" are actually called EVIL cameras, Electronic viewfinder, interchangeable lens cameras. They have much larger sensors than a compact digital camera and cost much, much more. The interchangeable lenses are also of higher quality than the ones found on compact digital cameras
Look at the micro 4/3rds cameras made by Panasonic and Olympus or the Nikon 1 series.
You are really going to have to actually visit a proper photo shop to see the differences and I suggest you do that before you spend a dime

Answer
Are you asking about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35? I could not find a current ZF35 camera.
Basically there are NO add-on lenses available for all but a handful of P&S cameras, you certainly cannot change lenses on them. It does have have treads on its lens, so you can protect the lens from damage by attaching a UV filter on it.
Here are your choices as far as optional accessories:

The camera you have is NOT a DSLR with can use interchangeable lenses, but what is called a SLR-Like digital camera
The lens you linked us to is for the Olympus, Panasonic and Leica 4/3rds DSLR's
