What's a good Nikon lens to Canon body adapter?

for some reason all the lenses i want are so much cheaper when they are a nikon. first i was wondering if it would be harmful for my camera in anyway, and if this is a good solution, if so can you recommend some adapters?

Answer
Because the Nikon-F mount is narrower than the Canon EOS mount, it is physically possible to have an adapter that requires no optical correction to focus to infinity. But all the disadvantages others have pointed to apply. And with no electronic connection, you can't adjust the aperture on Nikon G lenses. So the adapter would only be useful for older style Nikon lenses that have a mechanical aperture adjustment ring. Not many Nikon lenses are significantly cheaper than similar Canon versions. There are a few like the 70-300mm for which Nikon makes a cheap version and a good version (Canon does this too with its 75-300mm vs 70-300mm), but in either case the cheap version is not very good anyway.
