i was carrying my camera and i went in the bathroom to get my brush. i set the camera down on top of the bathroom shelf and somehow it slipped off and fell. i picked it up and the lens was broken. please help, if my parents find out i`m gonna be dead. it's a nikon coolpix L4 digital camera. it keeps saying LENS ERROR and it wont change. i really need help because im scared and im almost crying right now cause it just happened and my mom is sleeping and i dont know what to do.. please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just tell her the truth,,,, then tell her you'll pay to replace or repair it with your allowance, or you could get a job....
don't try to hide it from her, you'll only make things worse....
go to the nikon website, probably www.nikon.com, and send them an email about your camera. tell them what is going on and ask if you can send it in to be repaired.... most of those cameras will have some kind of warranty on them, and to have it repaired will be much cheaper than getting a new camera.
just don't stress. it could be worse,,,, you could have dropped it in a puddle..... :)

Lens Error with Nikon Cool Pics Digital Camera?

Ok Internet, I'm asking your help yet again. My good friend (who's been helping me with all my personal bullshit going on) has shown me her camera today. According to her, it's a Nikon Cool Pics Digital Camera and every time she turns it on it makes a weird beeping noises, attempts to focus then shows a white screen with red fond saying:
Lens Error!
So aside from the obvious, it's a lens error, but is it beyond repair? Can she take it to a shop and get it fixed? Or should she just get a new camera all together? It's at least 3-4 years old so I'd think it wouldn't be broken yet.
Can someone help me and her out?

Nikon Cool Pics???!!!???never heard of it.....i think you should check your camera.....
and....
the lens is stuck.....the cost to repair it will cost more than the camera itself, so i suggest you go get a new camera
